What you'll need:
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate.
- 3 to 5 years related management experience in Agri trade environment
- Relevant supervisory / middle management qualification
Skills/ Competencies:
- Basic Financial management and Customer relationship management knowledge
- Knowledge on market trends, competition, and customer needs.
- Intermediate Computer Literacy (SAP experience is beneficial)
- Planning and Organising
- Good time and stress management
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skill
What you'll be doing:
Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients through regular communication, understanding their needs, and ensuring satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships.
- Attend and resolve client queries in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with the sales team to establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Implement customer service standards to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Organise and execute internal branch promotions, expo’s, and other marketing events.
- Proactively identify and develop sustainable growth opportunities within the market by analysing market
trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
Administrative Control (loss control)
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining control over crucial administrative procedures and processes within the branch, ensuring that these fundamental operational aspects are efficiently managed and adhere to established standards.
- Proactively monitoring for any deviations from established procedures, promptly identify any discrepancies and irregularities.
- Responsible for ensuring the branch's full compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. This includes staying abreast of industry regulations and implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance at all times.
Inventory Management
- Take proactive measures to ensure the adjustment of stock levels, maintain an optimal inventory that aligns with market demands and internal objectives.
- Leverage insights gained from stock analysis, market trends, and environmental factors, to provide guidance on effective merchandising strategies and optimal shop layout, enhancing the visibility and appeal of products to customers.
- Plan and meticulously execute stock-taking, ensuring accuracy and completeness in assessing the current inventory levels and identifying any discrepancies.
Manage branch according to corporate business plan
- Interpret the overarching corporate business plan and strategy, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the organisational objectives and direction.
- Align with the corporate strategy by compiling a branch-specific business plan that reflects the broader organisational goals, outlining strategies and tactics tailored to the unique context of the branch.
- Define specific and measurable goals and objectives, providing a clear roadmap for the team to follow in pursuit of overall success.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments to streamline operations, foster efficiency, and collaborate on initiatives to enhance overall customer satisfaction throughout the branch.
Manage and develop staff
- Responsible for effectively managing the staff in accordance with relevant legislation, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, goals and objectives, aligning the team with the branch and corporate objective by communicating clearly.
- Actively engage in strategies to develop each team member to their full potential, foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Manage Branch Finance
- Oversee and manage the budget in close collaboration with the finance department, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and in line with strategic priorities.
- Monitoring expenditure to ensure that spending aligns with the budgetary allocations and financial guidelines established for the branch.
