Regional Manager (Hinterland)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* Grade 12 * Post Graduate qualification in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field * Experience as general employee in the respective field * Experience at leadership level * Minimum of 8 years on the job experience in a Retail Environment * Completion of General Management courses * Leadership, decision-making, time management, communication and writing skills * Numerical, analytical and budgeting skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Determine the operational practices of all branches in the area of responsibility * Ensure each branch runs effectively, is neat and complies with marketing and sales campaigns * Meet budget and sales goals * Set budgets and formulate plans to achieve budgets * Coordinate with all internal support functions, suppliers, agents and representatives * Accomplish regional human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts * Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions * Accountable for overall performance of assigned group / region * Keep employees motivated, resolve conflict and make decisions * Work with multiple branches and managers across a large region and coordinate in-store visits and reviews * Coordinate regional team and write reports * Solve problems that may arise during a typical work day * Make decisions that affect the company including dealing with employees, management or vendors * Communicate in front of a group of employees, or in a meeting with management, write reports, recommendations or reprimands * Develop and implement strategic objectives for each store and region * Increase profitability and produce marginal growth * Establish and improve customer engagement * Achieve and maintain operational excellence * Lead, manage, and mobilise Branch Managers * Ensure all legal and safety compliance is adhered to
