Manager: Training and Development

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* 4 to 5 years in a HR / Training environment * Relevant HR Qualification with Training and Development experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Ensure that the organization’s HRD strategy is aligned with the business strategy * Maintain training policy and provide input in drafting of HR policies and procedures * Align Group skills development strategy with National training strategies and legal requirements * Develop systems / procedures for workforce development and monitor effectiveness and progress * Ensure alignment of personal development plans of employees with career and succession planning * Implement and maintain skills development strategies * Coordinate the implementation of customized in-house management and leadership development programmes * Laise with line managers and training providers to ensure tailor-made training content & fit for purpose delivery * Oversee training delivery and regular progress reports to line managers * Management reporting and special reporting for BEE audits * Oversee planning, implementation and administration of Safety, SHEQ, Vehicle operator and technical maintenance training programmes, according to statutory and company policies and procedures * Manage the admin and logistics related to course schedules, liaison with training providers as well as training records and certification * Ensure flagging of relevant training records to extract data required for refresher training * Manage and coordinate implementation of Learnerships and Apprenticeships in the Group * Facilitate employee induction and in-house training interventions * Manage Study Bursary assistance programme for employees * Supervise employees * Manage performance of employees * Provide in-house training and guidance and support to employees * Motivate employees and provide constructive feedback on performance * Develop and manage succession plan/ personal development plan of employees
