Certisure is seeking the services of a Broker Assistant: Medical and Funeral to provide comprehensive administrative support to brokers specializing in medical and funeral insurance, ensuring efficient operations, client satisfaction, and risk mitigation within the insurance sector.
What you'll need:
* 1-2 Years’ experience in a Short Term Insurance environment (Experience in medical aids will be advantageous).
* National Senior Certificate (FIAS RE5 and Long-term Insurance SAQA ID; 49649 will be advantages)
What you'll be doing:
Policy Administration and Underwriting Oversight for Funeral, Medical Aid, and Travel Insurance.
* Review client information, assess needs, and assist brokers in gathering necessary data for new policies or policy updates.
* Assist in completing and submitting documentation for new policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
* Collaborate with underwriters to assess risks, evaluate applications, and determine appropriate policy terms and coverage.
* Manage and facilitate changes to existing policies, such as beneficiary updates, coverage modifications, and premium adjustments.
* Maintain meticulous records of policy issuances, updates, and underwriting decisions for compliance and reference purposes.
* Generate and issue policy documents accurately and timely, ensuring clients receive comprehensive policy information.
General Administration.
* Enter client information, policy details, and updates into the companys database (System A).
* Manage and respond to emails, phone calls, and other communications promptly, directing queries to the appropriate brokers or departments.
* Maintain an organized filing system for policies, client documents, and other administrative records for easy retrieval.
* Assist in preparing materials, reports, or presentations for client meetings or internal discussions as required.
* Monitor and replenish office supply necessary for daily operations.
* Provide support to colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow within the department.
* Send out cancellation letters for Funeral and correspondence for unpaid premiums.
Assist with queries and provide feedback to clients.
* Address client inquiries professionally and promptly via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
* Investigate and resolve client concerns or issues related to policies, claims, or general inquiries.
* Provide clients with information about policy features, terms, and benefits, assisting them in understanding their coverage.
* Gather client feedback on services, policies, or experiences to improve client satisfaction.
* Escalate complex client issues or complaints to brokers or supervisors for resolution as needed.
* Conduct follow-up calls or emails to ensure client satisfaction after query resolution or policy updates.
Travel Insurance.
* Provide information and support to clients regarding coverage, claims procedures, and policy queries related to travel insurance.
* Request information from client to Issue quote on the TIC System.
* Assist clients in initiating and processing travel insurance claims, guiding them through the necessary steps.
* Offer guidance and information to clients about travel-related risks and coverage imitations.
* Send client the FAIS documentation.
