Asset Valuation Analyst

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* At least 2 years experience in an agri-business environment (specialized in valuation of farmland and conducting of crop yield estimates)
* Relevant degree or diploma (candidates with a Natural Resources (soil and grassland preservation), Soil Science and Grassland Ecology related qualifications will receive preference)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Conduct Subject Property Defilement (confirm/verify) – registered owner/s, entity/number, location, title deed number, servitude, water rights registered, etc.
* Conduct land digitilisations
* Confirm and determine current composition and use of farmland
* Confirm and verify production potential of farmland as per land component (fields,grazing, pastures etc.)
* Evaluate, inspect and confirm current state (health / production status) of farmland as per land component
* Conduct inspection and valuation of fixed improvements critical to ensure commercial production
* Compile and submit Property Valuation Report
* Identification of asset
* Verify and confirm ownership
* Evaluate condition and serviceability of asset
* Determine realistic market value of asset
- Livestock:
* Confirm physical presence (number) of assets through inspection and or signed stock register
- Crops:
* Field identification and quantification of total hectares planted per crop
* Determine physical growth stage and general health status of crop(s) inspected
* Conduct a crop yield estimate according to subject matter work instruction
* Irrigation – inspection of infrastructure, verification of water rights
* Compile and submit yield estimate reports and evidence
* Provide specialist inputs when needed regarding acceptability of property location, potential and current physical status of natural resources as well as
condition of infrastructure
* Digitize of fields and crop inspected
